Jerri Robertson, Founder and President

Jerri Robertson, FounderJerri Robertson, founder of Building Images is a former professional model and former local pageant winner. She also has a successful history working in Fortune 500 companies as well as in her community. She is skilled in the areas of people management, leadership, team building and diversity.

She draws upon her extensive corporate background in key positions with IBM, Pitney Bowes and American Airlines. She is a dynamic, energetic facilitator and speaker.   Her unique training style and hands on strategies ensure that all participants are engaged and contributing with their learning.

Jerri speaks around the United States and is a resource to the media. Her programs are presented in public and private schools, numerous social clubs, churches, associations, and corporations.  Jerri's professional associations include SHRM, Dallas HR, ASTD-National, ASTD-Dallas and Frisco Arts Association.

Jerri approaches social graces and corporate training with a spirit of excellence. She believes that with proper encouragement and direction individuals can learn to soar to heights beyond their imagination.

 

Ken Hawkins, Management Consultant

Kenneth Hawkins is widely recognized as a leader and innovator in conflict resolution, organization development, diversity management and building teams for higher performance.  For 25 years, he has worked with hundreds of municipalities, businesses and agencies to help them achieve maximum effectiveness. 

Mr. Hawkins agrees with Abraham Maslow who said "If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail."  His consulting and training are designed to provide new tools to respond to the demands of today's changing work environment.

Before starting partnering with Building Images Mr. Hawkins served as the Director of Training at the Policy and Training in San Francisco, where he provided training and consultation to establish more than 300 conflict resolution programs throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.  He has conducted studies on cultural assumptions underlying the North American mediation model.  His articles and training materials and assessments instruments, have been included in various multicultural and mediation publications.

Mr. Hawkins has worked with a wide variety of clients including, NASA, the Cities of Chicago, Houston and San Francisco, the Metropolitan Transportation Agency of Los Angeles, the Federal Highway Administration, the entire University of California system, and Aetna Casualty and Life.

Mr. Hawkins attended Howard and Antioch Universities, where he was awarded degrees in psychology and organizational development.  He has developed a Handbook for Mediation Trainers, and was one of the co-authors of the document titled Dynamics of Conflict and Mediation.  Mr. Hawkins is currently a faculty member for the Institute of Intercultural Communications in Portland, Oregon.  Additionally, he serves as a mediator for the United States Post Office and is one of 15 in the State of California qualified to handle high level cases.  Mr. Hawkins was recipient of the 1999 Northern California Mediation Association's award for outstanding contributions in the field of mediation.

 

Marva Shaw, Management Consultant                                              

 

Marva Shaw has held several management positions within corporate America.  Prior to joining Building Images as a Management Consultant she held the position of Vice President of Sales for a local recruiting firm where she provided staffing solutions for large volume projects as well as small to mid-sized clients.  She has also held the positions of Branch Manager and Regional Director for national staffing companies where she has been responsible for sales and service of Fortune 500 clients like Xerox Corporation, Verizon, and AT&T.  As a Director, Mrs. Shaw had Profit and Loss responsibility for 8 branches across the country.

Marva Shaw began her career in Dallas, Texas in Administration and Human Resources for Xerox Corporation. She also worked as a Human Resources professional in the telecommunication industry.  Mrs. Shaw has 20 years of experience in Strategic Planning, Business Development, and Training.  She has also served on the board of the Dallas Urban League as well as committees for the Dallas Fort Worth Minority Business Development Council.

Mrs. Shaw enjoys coaching her daughter’s volleyball team, reading and tennis.  She received her Bachelors Degree from University of Texas at Dallas.
